KMC Foundation Inc
out of love for our community
About Us
KMC Foundation Inc. is a foundation born out of love for our community. We are originally a mortgage company (Kindred Mortgage Co – the “KMC” in our name), so we are deeply engaged in the community and connect with the people here.
We have a desire to give back to the folks who have supported us while we have built our own businesses here.
We help with local initiatives though charity work with volunteering, donating funds and and raising awareness for social causes using our real estate platform.

Our Founders
Candice Carr
Candice Carr founded Kindred Mortgage Co in 2023 and the KMC Foundation in 2026. The brokerage wanted to give back – everyone agreed – the community has supported all of us, and our businesses, it was time to band together and support our community in return in a bigger way.
The Foundation holds a special place for the support of mental health. If sharing our stories and speaking openly about mental health can help even one person feel less alone, then it is worth it. We recognize that our visibility in the community gives us an opportunity to help start conversations that many people are afraid to have. When people see someone they know, respect, or relate to talking openly about mental illness and mental health struggles, it can make it easier for them to reach out for support, share their own experiences, and seek help when they need it.
The more we normalize these conversations and break down the stigma surrounding mental illness, the fewer people will suffer in silence. Greater awareness leads to greater understanding, earlier intervention, and more people accessing the support they deserve. If we can encourage even a few more people to ask for help, we can create healthier communities, stronger support systems, and potentially save lives.

Dani Cooper
Dani Cooper is a community supporter. In 2017 she founded the Family Fertility Fund of Saskatchewan and ran it as its President until 2022. She raised 10k for YMCA in 2024 and participated in Big Brothers Big Sisters Bartending challenge in 2025.
She believes in giving back to the community and what better way then to support the mental health community. Dani was late diagnosed with ADHD in her 30’s and has seen the toll mental health has taken on all those near to her in every walk of life.
Mental health does not discriminate and affects everyone.
